HEY GUESS WHAT I MADE ANOTHER ANIBLOG

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. - 16 - Large Snapshot 09

So I’ve been thinking of giving solo blogging another try, and I also felt like ranting about the OreImo 2 OVAs. Since my editor and co-writer Anthony was already writing reviews for the OVAs on Population GO, and I don’t really want to bother trying to revive this gross old blog, I decided it was time to make a new blog!

It’s called Anime Is Dead. Whether I’ll update it regularly or if it’ll just be a place for me to publish ramblings that don’t really belong on Pop GO is yet to be seen, but for now you can just go there to see me rant about OreImo.

OreImo 2, Episode 12: Yandere Angel

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. - 12 - Large 20

Here’s a blog post I wrote when applying for a writing position at Organization ASG a couple weeks ago.

Summary: Shortly after moving into his own one-room apartment to cram for studies, a home welcoming party is thrown for Kyousuke with every women who could possibly be apart of his harem attending. They all fight over who gets to be his housewife cook and clean for him so he can concentrate on his studies more, and Ayase is chosen for the job due to her “hating Kyousuke the most,” and proceeds to spend a month with Kyousuke cooking and cleaning for him. Once all that is said and Kyousuke takes the mock exam and received near-perfect score on his exams, winning his bet with Kirino. After cleaning out his apartment, Ayase confesses her love for him—he rejects her, stating that he’s “interested in someone else.” Continue reading

Yes, since this week’s Chihayafuru 2 had a recap episode, I decided to write about Photo Kano of all things. Continue reading

Joshi Shougakusei Hajimemashita, Chapters 1-6: A lot funnier than it should be

tumblr_mj93lkjs6T1qbph9fo1_500

So here we have a manga that is about a 30 year old male virgin who, upon lamenting on his unfulfilling job and unsuccessful social life, gazes at the sweet bodice and buttocks of two prepubescent girls playing with water and proclaims how he wishes he were a girl himself. Continue reading

Too many animes

ScreenHunter_31 Jan. 17 21.17

Usually I only bother to watch 5-15 airing anime per season, but for the Winter season of 2013, I had the crazy idea of trying out more shows than I usually do. This resulted in me picking up a total of 22 shows full-length shows. Continue reading

Thoughts on Nisemonogatari and Nekomonogatari: Kuro

nekomonogatari-kuro-182_zps0107dde4I just spent the 1st day of January watching Karen Bee (Nise ep. 1-7), the 2nd watching Tsuhiki Phoenix (Nise, ep. 8-11), and the 3rd watching Tsubasa Family (Neko, ep. 1-4). I’ll say it’s been a nice start to 2013.

Writing for Population GO

pop-go-banner_e3

I have been given a writing position on Population GO as an anime reviewer for the Winter 2013 season. I’ll pretty much be doing the same thing as I do with this blog–weekly posts about a series with some editorials every now and then–except now I’ll have a deadline, and I’ll have to commit to 3+ different series for the whole season instead of just writing about whatever shows I feel like writing about. I’m hoping it’ll give me a nice challenge as an aniblogger.

I’ll cross-post everything I post there onto this blog, so Sorrows the Neptune shall remain alive and well. Which is good because I was just starting to feel attached to this blog. My posts for Little Busters! and  Uchuu Kyoudai shall be discontinued in favor of the shows I’ll be covering for Population GO, however.

I also have a tumblr now, which I may or may not end up using.

EDIT: by the way, the first show I’ll be covering for them is Senran Kagura, so no posts until January 6 or 7.
